This story I’m working on is about a young man who falls in love with his best friend’s mom, who just happens to also be his mom’s best friend. He fights it for all he’s worth, but things get out of hand on a trip she takes him and his friend on to Las Vegas and they end up in bed together.

She tries to forget it happened, but he doesn’t want to. He pursues her with everything he’s got. He’s determined to show her that they are meant to be together, despite the turmoil it causes the two families when they find out.

In Finding Myself, I tell the story of Kira and her loved ones through different points of view. It is an LGBTQIA+ love story that has twists and turns and deals with many difficult topics facing the world today such as teen pregnancy, domestic violence, alcoholism, and suicide.

I started the story in 2015 and it’s still in stages of editing as I type this. I feel as though it’ll never really feel truly finished. I thought it was done, and was going to self publish it on Amazon, I just wanted to have my friend read it just one more time… lol, well, now I’m editing once again.
